About the cottage
Thatch End is a part-thatched cottage dating, in parts, back to the 17th Century, once being part of the nearby Chatsworth Estate.
Despite its cottage appearance, it offers surprisingly spacious accommodation making it ideal for families but also cosy enough for a quiet couples break.
Having been in the same family from when it was originally purchased from Chatsworth, it has been sympathetically refurbished.
Wherever possible, original features have been exposed or reinstated which have been integrated with the needs of modern living.
Entrance to the property is off a private footpath, which leads to Chatsworth House , with a Bar Brook to the other side of the path running to the River Derwent.
